The USPS quietly raised its rates on Monday. Effective today, the following changes will be made:
Flat Rate Envelope- No Change
Flat Rate Medium Box - Up from $11.35 to $11.70
Flat Rate Large Box- Up from $15 to $15.45
International Flat Rate Envelope, to Canada & Mexico only- up from $11.91 to $12.38
International Flat Rate Envelopes elsewhere - Up from $13.81 to $14.28
The USPS also announced that we can expect postage increases every January and June.
It can be so confusing, so I am devoting this page to it. Let me know if it needs something more.This is for people outside of Hawaii only.
First of all, I hand put all charges in despite what your receipt looks like, and you will be charged what I say you will be charged below. (The default is FedEx but if you choose USPS, I change it.)

*The price that will show up on your invoice at the time you order, is the actual FedEx cost. I adjust it later, if you do not choose FedEx*.
Your choices for shipping will have to be ONE of these Two Services Available to you
#1-USPS Priority- cheapest
USPS Priority means, we will send it the way that is the least costly to you. Two roasted pounds or 3 green pounds and less will go via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope for $6.30. BTW If you order more than 1 Macadamia (a bulky item), then that will be the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box for $11.70 total postage. If you order just 1 macadamia, we'd use the cheaper USPS Priority mail box for $9.75.
USPS Priority Shipping Cost- 5 lbs of coffee + box = $11.70

#2-FedEx
FedEx if you choose FedEx packages can go from here to there in 2 days. This does not count weekends as FedEx does not include weekends. If you order 2 pounds or less, there might be an additional small charge for FedEx service.
FedEx Shipping Cost 5 lbs coffee + box = $19.38
FedEx Caution....Be sure that you have given me the exact detailed address for FedEx Delivery. If you do not give me the entire detailed address for delivery, FedEx has begun to charge $10 over their nominal freight charge for "incorrect" addresses, and it is all out of my control. And FedEx will charge me $25 to return your box to me which I will have to charge you for. Sorry. JUST BE SURE of the exact address. Thank you.
*Your invoice within your package will have the actual shipping charges that I will post to your card.

A Flat Rate International Box is capable of holding up 5 pounds of roasted or 10 pounds of green
What can fit in a USPS Priority Flat Rate envelope no matter where it goes?
2 pound bags of our roasted coffee or 3 pounds of green
We believe in shipping green/unroasted coffee via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate system.We can fit 4 pounds of green/unroasted beans shipped within the US for that same $6.30- only 3 pounds allowed outside of the US, sorry.
We can fit only 3 pounds of green/unroasted beans in an USPS International Flat Rate Envelope for $12.38 to Canada and Mexico and $14.28 elsewhere
What doesn't fit in a USPS Priority Flat Rate envelope?
More than 2 pounds of our roasted coffee, no more green/unroasted than I write above, and any amount of Macadamias, as they are too bulky.
How are Macadamias sent?

are sent via USPS
Priority Mail in a Priority Mail box with the cost as follows:
1lb for $9.75 and 2lbs (or up to 4 lbs.)
will go in a USPS
Priority Flat Rate
box for $11.70.

Your Actual INVOICE
When you make an order on my web site, my site is pre-programmed for FedEx. You will not see the USPS Flat Rate costs as I have stated above for 2 pounds of roasted and the green/unroasted poundage costs, when you SUBMIT your order. I will change the invoice here, and include it with your package when I mail it to you. All credit card charges are hand put in by me at a later time then when you make your order.
